100 Day, 1,000k Challenge – Running for the Alzheimer’s Society

///100 Day, 1,000k Challenge – Running for the Alzheimer’s Society

Dementia is a common condition that affects thinking, behaviour and the ability to carry out daily activities. Symptoms of dementia include memory loss, confusion, mood swings and difficulty with language. Although there are many different types of dementia caused by various factors such as genetics or stroke, Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause in older adults.

It’s not a condition that’s easy to manage and greatly impacts those closest.

For family and friends, it’s a hard thing to witness. The covid pandemic in the UK only amplified the strain and heartache for those affected. CSS Fitness wanted to play its part.

Chris, CSS Fitness founder and personal trainer, ran every day for 100 days to raise awareness and money for the Alzheimer’s Society and ultimately for the memory of his grandfathers, Kenneth Braeme and John Sutcliffe.

Donations can still be made at Just Giving.
